Third-Graders Share Their "Shark Tank" Presentations

This week, Dawson third-graders presented their companies and products to their peers in a "Shark Tank" experience as part of their business and marketing unit. Students paired up in teams and were asked to create a company and come up with one product that they'll present to investors (in this instance, their teacher, Lower School Head Roxanne Stansbury and librarian Lynne Reid).  Students had to explain how much it cost to produce their product, how much they will sell it for and estimate their potential profit, as well as give an overview of their product's general usefulness and appeal.

In March, the Lower School will host a Bear Den Market Day, and these young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sell their handmade wares to Dawson students, faculty and staff.
